Gym Establishment and Personal Training

2026.03.03

With the goal of “extending healthy lifespans” for our employees, we have been providing health guidance based on health checkups, dietary guidance, and strength training instruction since January 2023.

In fact, some employees have experienced gradual improvements in their health, including weight loss (one employee has successfully lost 10 kg), improved blood pressure (through exercise and diet alone, without medication), and a decrease in body fat percentage. We have also seen an increase in the number of employees who have started going to fitness gyms.

Specific examples of activities include the following:

1. Leg-focused exercises (squats, etc.) using a Smith machine and dumbbells.

Strengthening leg muscles to ensure employees can walk independently for as long as possible and prevent future bedriddenness. The Health Management Office provides guidance on proper form during strength training.

2. Aerobic exercise is also performed on an aerobics bike.

Aimed at burning body fat, the intensity is tailored to each individual.

3. After exercise, employees enter an oxygen capsule.

The increased air pressure allows employees to rest, making it easier for oxygen to be absorbed into the blood from the lungs, and helping them recover from fatigue after strength training.

Currently, individual training sessions are held twice a month for 90 minutes during working hours. Of course, twice a month is not enough exercise. For this reason, we also teach stretches and bodyweight exercises that can be done at home, in an effort to help employees develop an exercise habit.

In addition, before exercise lessons, we measure muscle mass and body fat levels using an “inbody” body composition measuring device.

We also provide dietary advice using a food recording app, and are taking a variety of approaches to extending healthy lifespans.

In the future, we are considering creating more detailed training menus and increasing the frequency of training.
